Vision Therapy for Adults
Vision problems don't stop at childhood. Whether it's an eye that turns, symptoms that lingered after a head injury, dizziness in busy places, or eyes that give out halfway through the workday — start with the concern that sounds most like you.
Which of These Concerns Best Describes What You're Experiencing?
Pick the one that sounds closest. Each opens a page explaining what's happening, what an evaluation looks at, and what treatment involves.
-
Lazy Eye Amblyopia & Strabismus An eye that turns, drifts, or has never seen as well as the other — and the depth perception and eye strain that come with it. Treatment isn't only for children. View More → -
ABI Acquired Brain Injury Concussion, stroke, or another brain injury can leave vision symptoms behind long after the other symptoms fade — light sensitivity, reading fatigue, double vision, trouble in busy spaces. View More → -
Dizziness Visual Vestibular Disorder Dizzy in the grocery aisle, unsteady on escalators, queasy as a passenger in the car. When the eyes and the balance system disagree, the world can feel unreliable. View More → -
Eye Exam Comprehensive Eye Exam A full look at eye health, your prescription, and how the two eyes team, track, and focus together — the part a quick vision screening leaves out. View More → -
BVD Binocular Vision Dysfunction Headaches, eye strain, words that swim on the page, anxiety in visually busy places. A misalignment small enough to pass a routine exam can still make daily life exhausting. View More →
Start With the Symptom Instead
Symptoms overlap, and more than one of these can be true at once. You don't have to sort it out before you call.
Most adults arrive with a pattern rather than a single complaint — the headaches and the reading fatigue and the uneasy feeling in a crowded store. Our interactive symptom checklist walks you through the common signs and gives you an instant score to bring to your appointment. It's a screening tool, not a diagnosis. You can also browse the signs of a vision problem or read through the full condition library.
What an Adult Evaluation Looks At
A routine eye exam answers two questions: is the eye healthy, and how sharply does each eye see on its own. Plenty of adults pass both and still struggle — because seeing comfortably also depends on how the two eyes team, track, and focus together, and how well that holds up over an hour of reading, screen work, or driving.
A comprehensive developmental and binocular vision evaluation measures eye teaming and alignment at distance and near, eye movements, focusing, visual processing, and eye health and refraction — and you leave with a written plan in plain language rather than a guess. If treatment is warranted it may involve prism or specialty lenses, in-office vision therapy, or both, and we coordinate with your other providers when a head injury or a vestibular issue is part of the picture.
Adult evaluations take place at our Boynton Beach and Boca Raton offices, and vision therapy then runs at whichever of our four offices suits you. See examinations & evaluations for what to expect, how vision therapy compares with the alternatives, and what care costs.

Still Guessing After a Clean Eye Exam?
An evaluation measures the visual skills a standard exam doesn't — and tells you plainly whether they explain what you've been feeling.
