Before Your First Visit

A New Office Is Easier When You Have Already Seen It

For a lot of the children we see, a new office is one more unfamiliar room to be nervous about — and for parents, a first appointment is easier to plan when you know what the building looks like and where you are going. That is why we filmed these tours: press play and walk the same route you will walk on the day of your appointment.

Each tour is about two minutes long. You will see the building, the waiting area and the vision therapy rooms where weekly sessions happen. If you would rather read about the appointment itself first, our developmental vision evaluation page walks through the testing step by step, and Start Here lays out how the whole process works from the first call onward.

Inside the Rooms

What the Therapy Space Looks Like

A vision therapist and a patient in the hallway of a Vision & Learning Center office
The walk from the waiting area back to the therapy rooms.
A child working through a visual-motor activity at a therapy table
Sessions are hands-on and one-to-one with a trained vision therapist.
A handheld retinal camera held up to a child's eye, the retinal image showing on its screen
Equipment is set up for children as well as adults.

Vision therapy sessions run weekly in these rooms, with home activities in between. You can read more about how a program is built on our vision therapy page, or see what families say about it in our patient reviews and graduate success stories.

Next Step

Not Sure Whether an Evaluation Is Worth It?

A child can pass a school screening, read the eye chart perfectly and still struggle because the two eyes do not team, track or focus comfortably at reading distance. If that sounds familiar, the quickest way to find out is to check the symptoms against a list.

Come See It in Person

The tours show the rooms; an evaluation shows what is actually going on with your eyes. Book at the office nearest you and we will measure how well the two eyes work together — not just how clearly they see.
