Most vision screenings check one thing: how clearly a child can name a letter across the room. They don't measure how the two eyes team up, hold focus, or track a line of print — the skills a child leans on to read a paragraph, copy from the board and stay with a task. That's why a bright student can pass every screening and still struggle.
Our sessions are educational rather than diagnostic. The goal is to help the adults around a child — teachers, therapists, pediatric staff, coaches, parents — recognize what a functional vision problem can look like, and know when a family should be pointed toward a full developmental vision evaluation. We look forward to collaborating with you to deepen your understanding of vision and its impact on development.
