Insurance & Out-of-Network Reimbursement
We are out-of-network, which means payment is due at the time of service. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be able to submit for reimbursement.
How it Typically Works
-
You pay at the time of your visit.
-
We provide a receipt/superbill with the information insurers typically require.
-
You submit it to your insurance plan.
-
Your plan processes the claim based on your out-of-network benefits.
What to Ask your Insurance Company
-
Do I have out-of-network benefits for optometric services?
-
Is pre-authorization required?
-
What is my out-of-network deductible and coinsurance?
-
How is reimbursement calculated (allowed amount)?
-
Are there limits on the number of visits or dollar caps?
-
What documentation is required for reimbursement?
Because every plan is different, we cannot quote exact reimbursement amounts in advance, but we will provide the documentation families typically need to submit.

Credit/debit/HSA Card Payments
We accept major credit/debit cards, and many families use HSA/FSA funds where applicable. If you prefer to pay in full, we offer a 5–10% discount on the vision therapy session portion.
*Pay-in-full discounts do not apply to CareCredit and may not apply to equipment packages or doctor fees.

Payment Plans

Step Up for Students
Unique Abilities
We accept Step Up for Students (Unique Abilities Scholarship) for eligible families. Funding must be released before the 1st of the month for scheduled sessions, and we keep a card on file for any funding gaps.

Care Credit
CareCredit financing is available for families who prefer extended monthly payments. No-interest promotional options may be available depending on the plan selected, with longer-term options also available.

-
What’s the difference between a routine eye exam and a developmental vision evaluation? A routine eye exam primarily checks eye health and prescription needs. A developmental vision evaluation assesses how the visual system functions in real-world tasks—how the eyes track, focus, and team—especially under reading, school, and screen demands.
-
Which evaluation should we schedule if we’re not sure? If you’re unsure, start with our symptom checklist or schedule a brief call. We’ll guide you to the evaluation that best matches your concerns.
-
Can my child have an evaluation if they already wear glasses? Yes. Glasses correct prescription, but many children still struggle if functional vision skills (tracking, focusing, eye teaming) are inefficient. An evaluation helps identify what’s going on.
-
Can I use HSA/FSA? Many families use HSA/FSA when eligible under their plan. If you’re unsure, check your plan rules.7) Do you offer payment plans? Yes. What happens after the evaluation? We review results in plain language and recommend next steps. If therapy is recommended, we’ll explain the plan, expected timeline, and how progress is measured.
-
If therapy is recommended, are results guaranteed? Yes. We offer a money-back guarantee when families fully follow the program as prescribed. This includes attending scheduled sessions, consistently completing the home program, and adhering to our clinical recommendations. If you meet the program requirements and we do not observe the expected progress, we will review your case and honor the guarantee in accordance with the terms of your signed agreement.
