Our Training

Vision therapists, often called optometric vision therapists, undergo specialized training to help patients improve their visual abilities. Their training often starts with a strong foundation in psychology, early childhood education, exercise science, and other related fields.

We utilize professional organizations, the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD), Optometric Extension Program (OEP), Emergent Vision Therapy, and many more to provide programs and training courses. In addition to our in-office training program, these programs teach therapists how to address various visual issues, from basic refractive errors to complex visual processing disorders. They learn techniques for binocular vision care, visual-perceptual therapy, and visual-motor integration.

Continuous education is crucial. Our therapists attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay updated with the latest methodologies and research. The combination of foundational knowledge, specialized training, and ongoing education equips our vision therapists to offer targeted, effective care to each of their patients.
