This course is an introduction to the developmental aspects of vision. It will begin with the foundations of human development to the high-level skills required for efficient reading/learning. Areas of visual development will be emphasized to outline the treatment sequence when working with the pediatric population in occupational therapy. The course will provide hand on experience performing screening tests assessing both visual efficiency and visual perceptual processing. It will end with a discussion of some special considerations of visual system.
